2009 MANASQUAN JUNIOR LIFEGUARD PROGRAM
PROGRAM INFORMATION
Welcome back to the Manasquan Jr. Guard summer program!! We hope you are all as excited as we are to begin June 29. There are a few announcements regarding location, times, and objectives of the program. The program will continue at Sunny Beach which is one beach entrance north of the Whiting I ramp. We are sorry in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but this is the ideal beach for the program. Kids can be dropped off at the Whiting I ramp or they may park their bikes in the bike racks also located on the ramp.
The schedule will be as follows Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays:
Junior Is (A’s, B’s, & C’s) 9:00-10:00
Junior IIs (Competitive A’s, B’s, & C’s) 9:00-10:30
Little Guards 10:00-11:00
Little Guards: Ages 7-8
C: Ages 9-11
B: Ages 12-13
A: Ages 14-16
The program is designed for kids to learn what it takes to be a Manasquan Lifeguard. Our main goals are to have fun and also to learn about ocean safety. Every child will be encouraged to improve in their lifesaving skills as well as practice good environmental awareness. We are also excited to compete in the local tournaments and we hope to get as many kids involved as possible. Everyone is welcome to attend these events but the Non-Competition kids must register themselves for the tournaments. Tournament dates are as follows:
Spring Lake: July 16, 2009
Mid Atlantic Regionals at Sea Girt: July 20, 2009
Manasquan: July 30, 2009-Tournament Registration Form 
Belmar: TBA
Ocean Grove: TBA (for the juniors 11 & under)
Finally, new uniforms are optional and will be handled by SwimNJ, NOT provided through Manasquan Junior Guards. It is located on Route 71 in Belmar.
Please be prepared when coming to Junior Guards by bringing the following:
Towel
Water
Wear a bathing Suit
Sun block
Goggles (optional)
Good Attitude
PROGRAM DATES: Start June 29 through approximately July 31st.
