Are you concerned about high utility bills? Is the rising price of energy impacting your budget? Are you trying to reduce your environmental impact through reducing, reusing and recycling? If so the Manasquan Environmental Commission in conjunction with Manasquan Engine Company # 1 is offering an energy assessment of your home!
This assessment uses an advanced heat sensitive camera (thermal imaging camera) to identify sources of energy leakage from your home! Using the special camera and the trained eye of a fire fighter, they can see where heat is escaping or cold entering, for example through the front door. Then, you as a homeowner can take the necessary steps to eliminate/repair the leakage which in turn will reduce your energy consumption.
During the visit, the fire department will also offer suggestions to mitigate potential fire hazards uncovered during the assessment. This service is being offered now, during the cooler months since the thermal camera works best when it’s cold and dark outside. The assessment is for informational purpose only and there’s a recommended tax deductible donation of $25 to the Manasquan Fire Department.
If you are interested or have further questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment. Please provide your full contact information (name, address and telephone number), 3 possible dates and latest evening time you are available. The assessment takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. This service is only open to Borough of Manasquan residential homeowners.
