Animal Control Services
Emergency Animal Control Services are provided to the Borough by the Associated Humane Societies, Inc. Contact the Police Dispatcher at 732 223-1000, 24 hours daily or the Municipal Clerk at 732 223-0544 ext. 235 to obtain their services.
Please note that feral cat colonies will be the responsibility of the person caring for the cats. They are excluded from the agreement between the Associated Humane Societies, Inc. and the Borough of Manasquan.
Licensing Your Cat & Dog
All dogs seven months or older must be licensed. Proof of Rabies Inoculation is required.
Rabies Vaccination Requirement: N.J.S.A. 4:19-15-3a requires that the duration of the immunity extends through out at least the first 10 months of the 12 month licensing period.
There is an additional charge for non-neutered/non-spayed animals ($3.00 for dogs, $2.00 for cats) Proof of Neutering/Spaying is required.
Cat Licenses ($5.00 for neutered) must be renewed during the month of October.
Dog licenses ($12.00 for neutered) are renewed during the month of January. Dog License Renewal Late Fee: $5.00 after January 31st.
Licenses can be obtained throughout the year and at the free clinics (when advertised)
RABIES CLINIC
A Rabies Clinic will be held annually at a date to be advertised and posted on the website by the Municipal Clerk’s Office.
